Yuko's father is accused of murder. Yuko, who was a student at the time, turns to Yazawa, a powerful lawyer, but he refuses to represent her because he cannot afford the fees. Her father commits suicide in jail. Later, the real murderer is caught and Yuko vows to become a lawyer in the future.
